Nippon Paint enters into a Joint Partnership with Silicone Coatings of Sri Lanka

Nippon Paint, one of the world’s premier paint manufacturers and the first company in Japan, enters into a joint-venture with Silicone Coatings (Pvt) Ltd., on 05th September 2012, which would be subsequently changed as Nippon Paint Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. The signing ceremony took place at the Corporate Office of Silicone Coatings (Pvt) Ltd., at Nippolac Tower, Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka.

Nippolac is one of the most popular paint brands in Sri Lanka, providing a wide range of coating solutions. Together with the new strengthened collaboration with Nippon paint, it will provide a comprehensive range of paints and coatings including the Decorative segment, Auto Refinishes, Industrial and Marine Coatings to the Sri Lankan market in the near future.


At the official signing ceremony, Mr. Fujitha Tetsuro, Chief Operating Officer of Nippon Paint South East Asia stated that “Sri Lanka is one market in Asia which will prosper in future and we are certain that the construction sector here will grow rapidly.With this joint venture, we hope to unveil more innovative coatings solutions, sharing the Japanese Technology with Nippon Paints Lanka (pvt) Ltd”. Mr. Rajah Hewabowala, Managing Director of Silicone Coatings (Pvt) Ltd., added further by saying “This is a great opportunity for Sri Lankan consumers to experience innovative coatings solutions from a notable leading brand with advance Japanese technology and unmatched quality”. Also present at the signing ceremony was Mr. Wang Chyang, the Managing Director of Nippon Paint Singapore, added”, we will share the Industry’s best practices with the aim of becoming the No.1 paints and coatings company in Sri Lanka in the near future. We endeavor to deliver superior quality paints and coatings solutions to the Sri Lankan market”.  


Silicone Coatings (Pvt) Ltd, will be officially changed to Nippon Paint Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
